It’s quite simple. Some individuals have a command of language that flows like a river, or brings time to a standstill.
Laetitia Tamko is one such example of extraordinary skill, a creator and multi-instrumentalist whose observations on existence are less like mere descriptions and more like hypnotic, unsettling poetry. Tamko is a unique voice giving life to powerful imagery under the moniker Vagabon, a brilliant and bold artist from New York’s underground scene whose music is raising the bar across the board.
Don’t miss Vagabon’s show tonight at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St., featuring sets by Julie Byrne and Austin-based artist Aisha Burns (Balmorhea). Doors open at 8 p.m. It’s best to get there early to catch all three performances. This one comes very recommended.
