Swoon

Your humble Austin Music Minute host calls this one a major “family night.” These Austin artists are on the the AMM list of faves that you need to have on your own must-see list. The party’s goin’ down tonight at Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. Hearts a-flutter:

-A few months ago, Star Parks performed at a Black Fret event at the Blanton, and the consensus was clear amongst the crowd murmurs – the whole damn world needs to know about these cats. All of your magnificent pop dreams leaving you starry-eyed, with Andy Bianculli holding the compass. Head this way.

-I give them a tough time because of my HUGE crush on them. Like, in kindergarten, when you like someone a lot and to show them you like them, you kick the crap out of their shin? Yeah. Like that.  Magic Rockers of Texas ignites the fuse to a mega-fuzz rock explosion.

-Oodles of irresistible melodic beauty and equally sweet vocals to turn thine head, fellow swooner. The heart will follow one’s ears. Lolita Lynne is an absolute treasure.

-A nice heaping dose of power pop perfection, blurring the lines into alt.-country and assorted eclecticisms. Poly Action works you into a frenzy. No apologies, even though it’s funny as hell when you spazz out.

The music gets started after 9 p.m. Tell them the Music Minute maven sent you. Very recommended.
