Now it’s time for the continued crazy-daisy, trippy-dippy adventures of a garage rock/punk-pop band of freaks gone mad! Well, mostly loopy. Gone loopy. And this is only after absorbing the glorious multi-colored, stoned-happy collage of love, lust, and badass surfy riffs on the video for the single “Julia,” released last summer as a sneak peak at the debut album by Soaked.
The title track to Don’t Wanna Wake Up Today is featured on today’s Austin Music Minute, a bit of a nudge to you to join the party at Soaked’s mini-tour kickoff show tonight at Hotel Vegas, 1500 E. 6th. And getting in on the fun are tour mates Goldbloom and Teevee, along with The Sour Notes, ready to shred with tunes from their latest release, Darkest Sour. Doors at 9 p.m. And don’t expect a mild night, dear. This is Soaked we’re talking about. The guys are ready for “another smoked out trip in the Mystery Machine, this time heading the other way down I-10 to NOLA…”
Okay, Scoob. New Orleans, you won’t be disappointed. Recommended.
