This February, witness Delbert’s signature rhythm and blues sound with a newer jazz influence inspired by Johnny Mercer, Nat King Cole and other legendary crooners. His band, the Self-Made Men, provide a hard-driving rhythm section, powerful guitars and innovative piano, accented by punched-up horns that take the performance to a whole other level.

KUTX’s Eklektikos Present Pink Martini

Perennial Paramount favorite Pink Martini is a “little orchestra” that draws inspiration from the romantic Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and ’50s while spanning genres to make an eclectic, modern sound. Their arrangements of Latin music, jazz, cabaret, and cinema scores have endeared them to both national and international audiences, selling out venues worldwide. You’ll be mesmerized by Pink Martini as they perform their multilingual repertoire on the Paramount stage.

KUTX’s Sunday Morning Jazz Presents Chick Corea & Béla Fleck Duet

Chick Corea & Béla Fleck, two master songwriters, musicians, and band leaders meet in a historic duet of piano and banjo. The Grammy Award-winning duet will combine Corea and Fleck’s most recognizable tunes with music from their Latin Grammy-winning album, The Enchantment, and their extraordinary live set Two (originally released in 2015 and now available on vinyl as well). With a mix of jazz and pop standards crossing a myriad of genres, from jazz, bluegrass, rock, flamenco and gospel, this will be a casual, intimate evening with two legends from different musical worlds.
