Elizabeth McQueen’s Top Tracks of 2017

Elizabeth McQueen is Producer and music host every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here are her top five 5 songs of this year:

1) Sweet Spirit – The Power

Ladies and gentleman, it’s the anthem we’ve all been waiting for because we NEED it. I shall play this song for my daughters and all my daughters’ friends and my friends so that we can all feel the power!!!!

2) A Giant Dog – Photograph

This song is quite possibly the most perfect love song ever written. The older I get, the more I long for REAL love songs. Songs that talk about what it’s really like to be in a long term committed relationship with someone. And this song gets that 100%

3) New York – St. Vincent

I’ve never wanted to cry when listening to a St. Vincent song until I heard this song.  It makes me long for days gone by and friends who have moved on, and yet feel hopeful, all at the same time.

4) Walker Lukens – Don’t Wanna Be Lonely

I love a song will cool sounds and a good hook, and this song is filled to the brim with both. Plus, I feel the lyrics without understanding them, which I always like

5) Childish Gambino – Redbone

I always like to see this song coming. It makes me want to get down and stay woke all at the same time.
