Video Premiere: Shy Beast – “Leave Me Be”

Austin five-piece Shy Beast is serving up indie-dream-pop to die for. Formerly known as MGC, the group rose like the proverbial phoenix with a knockout debut EP in 2017. Shy Beast is now a fully matured musical animal. Heading up the act is Marieclaire (MC) Glaeser; taking the mantle of chief songwriter, singer, and keyboardist. She is the creative heart of the group and a real force to be reckoned with; tracks abound with her lovely vocal acrobatics. The band just released their newest EP, Leave Me/Let Me, last month and to celebrate they’re releasing videos to accompany their new music. Today we’re excited to premiere the video for their song “Leave Me Be”, produced and directed by Shy Beast guitarist David Tenczar. It’s an awesome song made better by some great visuals and MC’s one of a kind choreography. Check it out and then be sure to catch Shy Beast at Antone’s on January 18 for the Austin Music Foundation’s showcase, The Next. Enjoy!

Leave Me Be is about the thoughts and behaviors associated with someone dealing with grief. But in the case of the video we wanted to find humor and reveal some of the personality of MC and the band.
