Booher 6.20.17

Forged in the melting pot of Austin’s music scene, indie rockers Booher are strummin’ and shufflin’ their way into our hearts. Michael Booher, eponymous frontman and Zykos alumni, was recently released from a weeklong sojourn in hospital for pneumonia and asthma, but he is right back in the saddle and on the road; a testament to his die hard commitment to his craft. Booher’s first album, Funny Tears, is slated for deluxe release this month, with two previously unreleased songs gracing the record. Funny Tears carves out a space of emotional literacy; a mix of short, sharp rockers and grand sweeping tracks, with some slow-jams thrown in for good measure. The album is strung together by Booher’s rich, crooning vocals and an indie-rock sensibility. Booher brought their roomy tunes and sweet sounds to Studio 1A ahead of their release show at Cheer Up Charlie’s. Check it out below!
