KUTX host Laurie Gallardo put it perfectly: “When I think of Parquet Courts, I don’t think of comfort zone.” Their brand of rock’n’roll is gritty, creative, and spirited. With groans and yells, each song is punctured by a moment of catharsis. When asked about working with acclaimed producer Danger Mouse, they remark on his peculiar eating habits rather than his artistic process. This modesty serves them well and their musical talent speaks for itself.
