The Wheelwrights 6.14.17

The Wheelwrights are making music that drives the backroads, passes whiskey on the front porch and sings on hot, summer nights; it is indie folk straight from the American heartland. The Austin-based band are celebrating the release of their debut album A Forest in the Trees; a collaborative effort with twelve visual artists and three studios/producers. This album and visual art project features thirteen songs paired with unique pieces of art and is a beautiful testament to the group’s passion for collaboration and blending of art forms. The visuals may be lovely but the real triumph is the music. Tracks like Ante Meridiem and Dust combine grass-roots acoustic with sweet vocal harmonies; the album is rich and eclectic, sweet and pure. Much like the band itself. The Wheelwrights brought their beards, instruments and Americana spirit to Studio 1A ahead of their album release show at Cactus Cafe. Check it out below!
