My KUTX: Bob Mould

For over three decades, Bob Mould has made music that’s both extremely catchy and noisy. The former Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman released his thirteenth album, Sunshine Rock, earlier this year. True to its name, the record is a bit sunnier than Mould’s recent work, but it’s still shout-alongable, to coin a phrase. He brings that solar-powered power to the Mohawk on Wednesday, April 3, and we’re excited to feature Mould as our guest DJ this week. For this set, he picked a lot of artists that reminded him of his brief-but-wonderful time spent living and making music in Austin in the early ’90s. Hear Mould’s My KUTX on Saturday, March 30 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
