It’s hard to believe that Heartless Bastards aren’t originally from Austin; they actually moved here from Ohio almost a decade ago. But to me, their music just sounds so Texan: big, beautiful rock-and-roll with a bit of twang and grit. Heartless Bastards put out its fifth album this year, Restless Ones, and I think it’s their best yet.
