My KUTX: Shakey Graves

Shakey Graves is on a roll. His singular southern spiced voice has attracted a loyal following and he made his national debut this month on Conan. While an iconic suitcase has long been part of Shakey’s well worn one man routine, an extensive tour ahead will require a bit more gear. His latest work, And The War Came was released this month through Dualtone Music, and his 38-stop tour kicked off October 11th in Los Angeles. This is his first release teaming up with other musicians, most notably Esmé Patterson, formerly of Paper Bird.

Things are getting bigger for this born and raised Austinite, and we are so excited he was able to take time from his busy schedule to take over the KUTX airwaves for an hour. This is actually Shakey’s second time to play KUTX DJ. Check out his first session right here!
