My KUTX: Tele Novella

Tele Novella is the KUTX Artist of the Month for September.

Austin’s Tele Novella might dress up its music in ’60s clothes, but there’s something timeless about the group. The band’s songs are meticulous concoctions, little cabinets of curiosity that deliver hook after hook while still maintaining a shadowy appeal.

It’s no wonder that Tele Novella opts for a lot of quick-and-strange curiosities on its My KUTX playlist. Bassist Jason Chronis (who doubles as a record collector) and keyboard player Sarah La Puerta take the guest DJ controls, spinning an hour of eclectic songs ranging from psychedelic country to baroque pop. Tune in Saturday, September 17 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
