My KUTX: Utopia Fest 2016

Utopia Fest is a little music festival that dreams big. Started in 2009, Utopia plants its flag squarely in the scenic Hill Country (about 2 1/2 hours southwest of Austin), offering camping and family-friendly events while capping attendance at 2000. No music overlap means you can take in every single performer at this year’s fest, taking place September 29 through October 2: from RATATAT and White Denim to Thao & The Get Down Stay Down and Golden Dawn Arkestra, and much, much more.

This week on My KUTX, festival director Aaron Brown shares some of his favorite memories of Utopias past as well as offering up a mix of some of the bands playing this year. Tune in on Saturday, September 10 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
