Danny Malone is a character driven to constant creation.
Born in Austin, Texas and inspired by artists ranging from Michael Jackson to Tool to the Clash, Malone has strived to create an aggressive folk-influenced sound, most apparent on his pristine production, Balloons. Recently Malone has shifted gears and taken his sound in a different direction with his upcoming album Speeddreamer. Produced by Malone in isolation using only one microphone and a 4-track cassette recorder, Speeddreamer is an intriguing lo-fi departure from his typically concise arrangements.
Malone has described Speeddreamer as a mellow and smooth album you could listen to, make love to, or fall asleep to, depending on your preference.
