9AM Friday 3.15.13- Josh Ritter
Singer-songwriter Josh Ritter released his first album shortly after he graduated from Oberlin College with the self-created major “American History through Narrative Folk Music.” Just that little fact almost tells the whole story of Josh Ritter. In 2006, Paste magazine named him one of the “100 Greatest Living Songwriters,” a bold claim for sure, but still hard to argue with. Ritter’s work is deep and layered, drawing comparisons to people like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. His latest album, The Beast in Its Tracks, just came out on March 5th.
