KUTX wants to help you get out and vote this year! Below are some resources to help get you ready to vote on November 6th. Remember: You must be registered to vote by October 9th in order to vote in the election on November 6th.

Find out if you are already registered to vote.

If you’ve changed addresses recently, you may not be registered. Find out how to make a change to your voter registration here.

Not yet registered to vote? The easiest way to register is in-person. KUTX will have a voter registrar on-hand at our Sept. 21st Rock the Park event to register Travis County residents. Or you can register at your county Voter Registrar’s office. (In most Texas counties, the Tax Assessor-Collector is also the Voter Registrar. In some counties, the County Clerk or Elections Administrator registers voters.)

You can also register online, but you’ll need to print, sign and mail in your application to your county’s voter registration official  before the Oct. 9 deadline!

Once your County’s Voter Registrar receives your application, they will process it, and your registration will become effective 30 days after it is submitted (and accepted) by the County Voter Registrar. (Hence, the Oct. 9 deadline – the sooner you can mail in your online registration, the better.)

You can also register by mail by obtaining an application from your county Voter Registrar’s office or pick up applications at libraries, government offices, or high schools.
