Eastside Kings Festival is back, presented by the Eastside Kings Foundation, spotlighting an incredible array of musical royalty in African-American blues, jazz and gospel. The 13th annual celebration kicks off with a party tonight at Justine’s on E. 5th featuring Hubby Jenkins (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Shy Perry & Bill Perry, Jr. (family of legendary blues musician Bill “Howl-N-Madd” Perry), and a DJ set by Sonder Lovehall. Then the festival continues tomorrow and Sunday at venues along 12th and Chicon, with performances by Joe B., Veronika Jackson, Earnest “Guitar” Roy, Omar Coleman and many others. Check that stacked line-up and schedule at the Eastside Kings Fest website.
