Supa BWE

Saturday, Oct. 6th at 12:45 p.m. on the Honda Stage

I’ve been wanting see this Chicago entity for a few years now. Became a fan of them from my blogging days, so now I get to see them and their intense raps in person.

Recommended Track: Supa BWE, “Black Aladdin”

Jackie Venson

Saturday, Oct. 6th at 12:45 p.m. on the Tito’s Stage

The bright and shining, ever so popular Ms. Venson is an artist I’m immensely excited to see. I’ve been trying to see her for a while now and every time I get a chance I miss her. Her soulful rock stylings have become the talk of the town.

Recommended Track: Jackie Venson, “Fast”

Smino

Saturday, Oct. 6th and 13th at 3:30 p.m. on the Miller Lite Stage

The Chicago rapper and his unique voice and style has intrigued me since his “blkjuptr” album. I was sold on him with his “blkswn” album. His soulful raps has shown there is more to Chicago than it’s popular Drill Music scene.

Recommended Track: Smino, “Wild Irish Roses”

Travis Scott

Sunday, Oct. 7th and 14th at 8:45 p.m. on the American Express Stage

Whether you’re calling him LaFlame, XX, Cactus Jack, Travis Scott is an artist I have been following since the very beginning. Stumbling upon him in my blogging days when he was rhyme partners with OG Chess in Houston, I have followed Travis every step of the way. The artist I’m giving credit for ushering in this new wave of Punk Rap, Travis Scott is hands down a must see for everyone.

Recommended Track: Travis Scott, “STOP TRYING TO BE GOD”

Lil Wayne

Saturday, Oct. 13th at 7:00 p.m. on the HomeAway Stage

The man is a living legend. There’s really nothing else left to say. Being added to the line up after Childish Gambino having to dropout, I wonder why Wayne wasn’t originally on the line up. With Tha Carter 5 finally dropping, and a seemingly new lease in his career how can you not want to see Lil Wayne. I know he’s going to perform new music and classics.

Recommended Track: Lil Wayne, “Tha Block Is Hot”
