Noname is one of the best female MCs out there. I shouldn’t have to qualify it, but woman rappers never receive enough recognition and Noname deserves all of it in the world. Her delivery sounds at once melancholy and uplifting, and she can talk about a loss filled life and a hopeful future in the same track. It’s a goddamn beautiful thing.

Okay, hear me out. I know, Deftones are partly responsible for creating the much maligned nu metal genre. But I promise if you go back and listen to their records your eyebrows will raise off of your skull because of how wrong you were for writing them off all this time.
