Shy Beast

Austin five-piece Shy Beast is serving up indie-dream-pop to die for. But the band is not bound by geography or genre-the appeal is universal, while all their own. This tight-knit group evolved organically, with deep connections to one another and to the local music scene. Heading up the act is Marieclaire (MC) Glaeser; taking the mantle of chief songwriter, singer, and keyboardist. She is the creative heart of the group and a real force to be reckoned with; tracks abound with her lovely vocal acrobatics. David Tenczar (guitar, backing vocals, synth), Andrew Bennett (lead guitar, synth, backing vocals), Jay Cesak (bass), and Drew Silverman (drums) all collaborated in different iterations before joining MC in Shy Beast.  The band just released their newest EP, Leave Me/Let Me, last November and to celebrate they’ve been releasing videos to accompany their new music. The most recent video, for the track “Leave Me Be,” features Mariclaire’s unique dance moves as well as guitarist David Tenczar’s directing skills. Watch the video below and keep your eyes and ears peeled for more from Shy Beast as we celebrate our first Artist of the Month of 2019!
