Map Jam is an upcoming music festival that takes place in some non-traditional spaces on Austin’s east side – parks, loading docks, even a lumber mill. This week on the Austin Music Experience, we’ll preview the fest with a Map Jam mix featuring Hard Proof, Latasha Lee & the Blackties, the Carper Family, and more. Also, it’s been fifty years since the Beatles first came to America. We dip into our archives and unearth an exclusive Beatles cover by Of Montreal – you don’t want to miss this. Plus, we’ve captured some amazing Studio 1A performances in the past few weeks. We’ll hear live cuts from Austin hard rockers Not In the Face and the Brooklyn buzz band Lucius. Today at noon and again at 11 pm on KUTX 98.9, or anytime in the player below.
