Light Horse Harry [Single Release] – 8:00pm @ Mohawk

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Light Horse Harry is an Americana Folk band that captures the essence of American roots music with their blend of country, rock, and pop. With all five members being University of Texas students, the band is now located out of Austin. Their self-titled and self-recorded 14 track album dropped in summer of 2012 while three of the current members (Zach, Drew, Gus) were attending high school in Dallas. In moving down to Austin, LHH met drummer Shane Gordon and fiddler Kathryn Drake (“Kitty D”) while gettin’ some education at UT. In the summer of 2014, the band released a four-song EP titled “Busted In Brownsville” which greatly reflects the direction of their sound since recording the first album. After one of their first few performances in 2014 as a newly complete five piece band, they were hired as a house act for BD Riley’s Irish Pub on 6th street, where they still have a residency. Light Horse Harry has played venues all around Austin as well a few music festivals, including SXSW, Burnet Bluebonnet Festival, and Dallas Music Festival.
