Here we go! The 2015 Austin City Limits Music Festival is upon us, and this year brings not just one but two weekends of heavy hitters and local faves gracing the festival stages.
Your humble Austin Music Minute host is here to offer various picks of ACL Fest performances, official ACL late night shows, and a few unofficial gigs and special events off the beaten path. Lots of goodies to offer!
Today, the spotlight is on an ACL artist you can see at a show tonight at Stubb’s indoor venue, 801 Red River, or out at the fest tomorrow at noon on the Austin Ventures Stage, or at KUTX Live at the Four Seasons next Friday, Oct. 9th, at 11:30 a.m.: Leopold & His Fiction. They share the bill with Denver-based high-octane rock duo In the Whale. Doors open at 10 p.m. Turn it up.
Leopold’s show will follow ACL artist Billy Idol‘s performance (yes…Billy – frickin’ – IDOL) in the Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater, with special guest Ryn Weaver. Doors open at 7 p.m.
