–Residual Kid’s Biggest Little Day Party kicks off at noon at Frank, 409 Colorado St., with Hinds, Gabe Kubanda, Racing On the Sun, EMPRA, Creepoid, Residual Kid, Yuck, and Beach Slang. Get there early; it’s a cool but cozy spot with limited space. And don’t leave the earplugs at home.
–High Road Touring breaks in ACL Live’s new sister venue, 3Ten, with an awesome showcase featuring HAELOS, Yak, Boulevards, Tor Miller, Run River North, and Los Coast. Doors at 7 p.m.
– Local music and art party Fly By Butterfly at one of your AMM host’s favorite places, The Butterfly Bar, 2307 Manor Rd., features Small Houses, Devin James Fry and the Name Sayers, Summer Swells, Thea Picard, Star Parks, Cowboy Crisis, Taylor Boston, and Chill Russell. The music starts at 5:30 p.m.
-The mighty Jeff Smith is damn proud to present the official Saustex SXSW Showcase tonight at The Saxon Pub, 1320 S. Lamar, featuring Western Star, BP Fallon, Dash Rip Rock, Javier Escovedo & the City Lights Band, and Timmy Thomas & The Overtown Soul Revue. Doors at 8 p.m.
