It’s finally here! The 2018 Austin Music Video Festival kicks off tonight and continues through Saturday, five days of music video world premieres, retrospectives, live performances, and an award show highlighting local, nationally- and internationally-known artists. Your eyes and ears will be treated to the bold, the beautiful, the downright bizarre, and all from the most innovative creators and designers thinking outside the box.
Tonight’s festivities include a showcase at Alamo Drafthouse Ritz on 6th St., featuring a live performance score by special guest Neon Indian (featured on today’s AMM), and at Native Hostel on E. 4th, with an interactive event and opening night afterparty starring MRK, iamhill and Chucky Blk. Make sure to join your Austin Music Minute maven for the ultra-spectacular KESHA Music Video Rainbow Surprise, presented by mega-fabulous CupCake, and Lady Power music video screenings this Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Alamo Drafthouse Ritz.
