Songwriter and Wood and Wire frontman Tony Kamel presents a personal treasure on his latest solo album, Back Down Home, recorded at producer Bruce Robison’s all-analog studio and released via The Next Waltz label. There’s something free-flowing and inspiring about recording in that kind of environment, which created the perfect laid-back vibe for Kamel’s poetic connection to his roots. The music is imprinted with memories of life on Texas’ Gulf Coast.
Kamel celebrates the release of Back Down Home with two shows, tomorrow, Friday October 15, and Saturday October 16 at The Continental Club, 1315 S. Congress Ave. Both nights include sets by The Tender Things, and Saturday night features a performance by songwriter Melissa Carper. Both shows are indoors. Please remember to bring your mask.
