Bee Caves Residency

It was evident during Bee Caves‘ recent Studio 1A performance that songwriter/vocalist Reed Calhoun loves to let his band’s sound ebb and flow with atmospheric depth, playing with multiple textures and layers to create a dark and somewhat mercurial force.

This is one to experience live. Bee Caves kicks off their month-long residency tomorrow night at the Mohawk, 912 Red River. They’ll perform on the inside stage each Thursday night in April. Tomorrow’s bill includes sets by Star Parks and Remsy; next week, it’s Marmalakes and Philadelphia-based band Small Houses and April 27th will include Abram Shook and Roaring Sun. All great line-ups, and an absolutely solid performance from Bee Caves, who just keep getting better. Recommended.
