Austin-based band Cilantro Boombox is inspired by a very diverse array of influences, from reggae to salsa, to house music, to the blues. You’ll find hip-hop, funk, electronic, and even and traditional Venezuelan music in the mix. It all comes together. There’s no way you’ll pigeonhole Cilantro Boombox into one genre, but one undeniable fact remains – it’s a guaranteed dance party. No sitting down for this one!
What: Cilantro Boombox is the featured guest artist at The Wine Down summer concert series, benefitting the Austin Music Foundation. Awesome music for a most worthy cause.
When and where: See Cilantro Boombox tonight at this early show, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. Admission is free, by the way. It’s the most dance-filled summertime happy hour around. Recommended.
