Bringing It All Back Home

It’s been an ongoing adventure, the best kind to have…an opportunity that could not be passed up.

Your Austin Music Minute maven was invited to join this year’s Project ATX6 artists in Angers, France in September, and Toronto last month, as a representative of Austin music. To witness these musicians share their work, collaborate, and connect was something incredible to behold. That is the very idea Project ATX was founded upon – sharing Austin music, and such impressive talent, with the world. Six musicians are selected each year by project coordinator Chris Brecht to perform at international festivals, but there’s more to the journey beyond the gigs.

As the year draws to a close, this year’s ATX6 – Beth Chrisman, Tate Mayeux, Grace Park, Andy Bianculli, Jai Malano and Elijah Ford – gather together for a finale performance, Bringing It All Back Home. See them all tonight at Stateside at The Paramount, 719 Congress Ave., along with Project ATX6 alumni Carson McHone, Leo Rondeau and Mrs. Glass. The program includes a reading by Kevin Curtin of the Austin Chronicle, and a special premiere of the Project ATX6 documentary. Your humble AMM host will serve as emcee.

Don’t miss this one. You can get advance tickets at the Paramount website. Recommended.
