Cheer Up’s Tomorrow Night

This is what your humble Austin Music Minute host meant by “…this is a big one” on today’s AMM. Four must-see bands, all Austin-based talent, in one show equals one big Wednesday night at Cheer Up Charlie’s, presented by The Nothing Song.

Dive in:

January 2018 KUTX Artist of the Month Good Field (featured on today’s AMM) absolutely kills it with their latest album, Surface Tension. The band’s a longtime AMM fave, since the days of dreamy “Tell Me Ida” from their 2012 self-titled debut. Swoon.

-Spectacularly weird and beautiful vibes from Feverbones, and the surreal artistry of their LP Dream Talk.

-The words they’ve used to describe what they do include “warm, dark and lacy.” Fair enough. But more lies beneath the surface of the well-crafted pop melodies of Linen Closet.

-Songwriter Dabney Dwelle‘s impressionistic creations as My Golden Calf are as vibrant and intriguing as ever before.

It all goes down tomorrow night at CUC’s, 901 Red River. The music begins at 9PM. And seriously, get there early to see all of these bands. Very recommended.
