You’ve got three heavy hitters to deal with in Feverbones, a combination of badasses: Christopher Cox, Abram Shook and Matthew Shepherd. Each have played in various outstanding musical projects – Cox and Shepard most notably with Dana Falconberry and Adam Torres; Shook’s solo work in addition to performing Shearwater – but converging for Feverbones’ new album Dream Talk gave them the space to focus on summoning a surreal energy that stands on its own, a genuine mix of something gorgeous, odd and complex.
Tonight’s Feverbones LP release party will not disappoint. They play at The Sidewinder, 715 Red River, sharing the bill with Palm Daze and TOMA. Doors at 8 p.m. Very recommended.
