Who: Your Austin Music Minute maven has it on good authority that local Latin psych and cumbia chicha outfit Money Chicha is mixing their forthcoming debut album, Echo en Mexico. The band, which features members of Grupo Fantasma and Brownout, is hoping for a springtime release. No set date yet, but definitely looking forward to what will undoubtedly be awesome.
What: If you’ve seen Money Chicha live, you know what I’m talking about. And you now have plenty of opportunities to do so this month. Money Chicha is starting an August residency at The Continental Club Gallery.
