It’s a given. An album produced by Frenchie Smith at The Bubble is bound to be something special, and with a band like The Mystery Achievement, one can expect genuine badassery from such a fitting combination. The Mystery Achievement’s second self-titled release nails it – rock/pop bliss with the magic stuff that solid hooks and riffs are made of. Guitarist Sheridan Roalson and bassist Mallory Whitenton are on point with the heavenly harmonies. (Opening track “For Love” is featured on today’s AMM.)
Soak in all the new tunes at The Mystery Achievement’s album release show tonight at The ABGB, 1305 W. Oltorf. And pardon your Austin Music Minute host for getting terribly giddy over the perfect line-up, featuring Go Fever and Ladyfang. The music starts at 9 p.m.
