Free Week Bliss

It just feels like a boat-load of dream shows lined up for your humble Austin Music Minute maven during Free Week. It’s electrifying!

Free Week is that special annual occurrence when you go to any participating venue for a show and – hold on, it’s no cover charge at the door. No way! Well, yes way, and today’s spotlight falls on a show happening tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River. Check out the vibes on this bill, baby:

– Mighty psych-rock shrouded by the supernatural. Basque in the gorgeous trippiness of Obscured By Echoes.

– I’ve got a fever. And the only prescription is more of that infinite beauty and warmth of Feverbones. (Please listen to “Astoria” from their self-titled EP. I mean…dang.)

– One of the most underrated indie folk-pop/rock bands to ever captivate the ears. My Golden Calf is a must-see.

Doors open at around 9 p.m. And I must emphasize each and every single time: Although it is Free Week, please support the bands by purchasing their albums and merchandise. Thank you.
