The Austin Music Minute faces the impossible task of putting the spotlight on mainly one – just one – of the many Austin Free Week shows happening each night throughout this week. It’s not fair. So…your humble AMM host sort of cheats a little bit and tries to fit in as many shout-outs as humanly possible without overcrowding the Music Minute – which…is already longer than a mere minute. Torture!
The selections for tonight include the Free Week show at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St., with heavy doses of Ringo Deathstarr, The Halfways, Coattails and Teevee; another biggie at Cheer Up Charlies, 900 Red River, featuring more extraordinary must-see performances by Knife In the Water, RF Shannon, Star Parks and Julia Lucille; and a gargantuan bill at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St., that includes The Well, The Ghost Wolves, Honey and Salt, My Education, Cartright, Residual Kid, Built By Snow, Chill Russell, and today’s AMM featured artist starting out the evening at 8:30 p.m. on the inside stage, The Human Circuit.
All of this. For free. Your favorite price. Get up and get on out. Totally recommended.
