Fun Nights With Fun Nites

This entire week, the Austin Music Minute has shared a smattering of previews of Fun Fun Fun Fest 2013, happening this weekend, and that also includes a peek at the great bands playing the Fun Fun Fun Nites after-party shows. Here are some more nighttime goodies to check out after your daytime adventures at the Fest.

Friday night: Montreal-based indie pop/rock artist Mac DeMarco will perform at The North Door, 502 Brushy St., along with Portland pop duo Quasi and local songwriter Booher. Over at Red 7, 611 E. 7th St., you can see Thurston Moore‘s (Sonic Youth) latest project, alt.-rock band Chelsea Light Moving, sharing the bill with Lemuria, Merchandise and The Young.

Saturday night: New York punk legends Cro-Mags take over Holy Mountain, 617 E. 7th St., on the outside stage with Ceremony. Inside, it’s Retox, Narrows, Regents and Coliseum. Damn. Sounds like hardcore heaven to me, pal.

Sunday night: Wrap up your Fest time with Santa Monica indie pop band Cayucas at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. Good Field, The Laughing and Growl make it the perfect line-up.

It’s a lot, I know, but oh so good. Recommended.
