Get To Know

NPR Music couldn’t have made it more clear with their recent feature, “Musicians You’ll Tell Your Friends About in 2015,” in which Austin-based trio Charlie Belle was prominently featured. The raves were non-stop for this “all-ages sensation” and their irresistible pop goodness.

Admittedly, it’s a tad mind-blowing to realize that Charlie Belle’s English 90’s-vibed/dreamy pop bliss comes from a band in which the oldest member, vocalist and guitarist Jendayi Bonds, is 16. Jendayi’s brother, drummer Gyasi Bonds, and bassist Zoe Czarnecki, are younger. But age is not the focal point; it’s the impressive, exceptional musicianship, their excellent performances, and their sound that continues to put them in the spotlight. More rave reviews had been pouring in from UK media outlets as well, all before their new EP Get To Know was even released.

Today happens to be the official release date, and Charlie Belle is celebrating with an all-ages show tonight at Holy Mountain, 617 E. 7th St. White Label Analog and Manco are also on the bill. Doors open at 9 p.m. So recommended.
