This really is a lovely way to start out your Friday morning, before the 2014 Austin City Limits Music Festival kicks off. It’s even a treat for those who weren’t planning to attend the fest but wouldn’t mind having a little well-rounded preview, just the same. Presenting KUTX Live at the Four Seasons, our very own ACL party bringing you a taste of what’s to come.
We’re getting an early start, but it’s so worth it. Beginning at 9 a.m. on the lovely Four Seasons back lawn, we’ll get you wide awake and moving with the Afro-funk and jazz grooves of Hard Proof Afrobeat, followed by Brooklyn-based quartet Lake Street Dive at 10 a.m., psych rockers Temples at 11 a.m. (their track “Mesmerise” is featured on today’s Austin Music Minute), and folk-pop outfit The Head & The Heart at noon.
Just a $10 donation will get you in with all the ATX staples – breakfast taco and coffee, and proceeds benefit a most worthy cause, the Seton Shivers Cancer Center. Come out this Friday, bring your lawn chair or blanket, and enjoy.
