It’s the entire package – a tight rhythm section, a massive horn section, and an amazing vocalist like Kam Franklin – that all gels together like magic. They’ve gone from selling out Houston venues to captivating crowds of thousands at big festivals. Expect a new full-length album this year to follow up their debut 45.
The Suffers will perform for the official Vampire Weekend afterparty tonight on the Stubb’s indoor stage, 801 Red River. But allow the Austin Music Minute to make one thing emphatically clear: Even if you don’t see VW, make sure you see The Suffers. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. Very recommended.
