Held In Splendor

It’s come a long way, baby. And it’s only going to get better.

The Austin Psych Fest was a labor of love from the very beginning for its founders, The Black AngelsReverberation Appreciation Society, creating unique musical experiences for its attendees. From its launch seven years ago to the current three-day celebration, the festival has always provided opportunities to see classic psych acts that were around when the scene first began – especially Texas psych, as well as introducing audiences to a huge variety of bands in the psych vein today.

This year, APF presents another killer line-up. You can visit the fest website for details about bands and their scheduled performance times, along with a map and directions to Carson Creek Ranch and details about onsite camping.

Today’s Austin Music Minute features Boston-based psych-folk quartet Quilt, and the song “Saturday Bride” from their 2014 full-length release, Held In Splendor. You can see Quilt play the festival Friday at 6:15 p.m. on the Elevation Amphitheatre stage.
