It’s time.
Native Austinite Josh Googins has dedicated more than a decade to making music, playing in several bands and investing a lot of time and emotion in a project of his own creation, Cause In Effect, born at The Bubble with producer Frenchie Smith in 2012. These days, he’s now faced with something more pressing, and potentially more nerve-wracking: A solo album. It’s all Googins, his official debut on a self-titled release, and damn it, he’s ready to go for it.
To offer a sneak preview, Googins is presenting his “House the Moon” single release show tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. Rounding out the bill are Googins’ hermanos de musica, Willy McGee and Jordan Matthew Young. Doors open at 9 p.m. Check it out.
