Howl With Me

No rest for the wicked. Especially the wicked-cool. Rather than having their musical roots firmly planted in just one spot, Austin-based duo The Ghost Wolves spends more than its fair share of time on the road, both nationally and internationally. Next month, following a couple of local dates at Swan Dive and Empire Control Room, Carley and Johnny are headed for Europe and the UK to tour with Nashville rockers All Them Witches, with one sick itinerary – Berlin, Vienna, Amsterdam, Dublin, Glasgow, London, among several other cities. It’s what badass bands do. The Ghost Wolves always conquer and devour in the best way possible; merciless shreds, high volumes, and blues rock turned on its ear.

You have not one, but two opportunities to see The Ghost Wolves coming up: There’s the show tonight at The Blackheart, 86 Rainey St., with songwriters Danny Malone and Kady Rain sharing the bill, starting at 9:30 p.m.; and the Wolves’ extra-special Gutbucket mostly acoustic set tomorrow night at 9 p.m. at Radio Coffee and Beer, 4204 Manchaca.

Take your pick. Or do both. All recommended.
