Load up the rock ‘n’ roll with injections of fuzz, a mad love for ’60s sounds, inspiration from delta blues, a garage-rock attack plan, plus a few snarls here and there, and you’ve got the bolts ‘n’ gears of Coattails. They’ve been indulging this ravenous craving of theirs since 2013, and it’s a collaborative effort that keeps their collective pulse racing.
Coattails are ready to unleash their latest EP, Imaginary Friends, with one hell of a release show tonight at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St. It’s a loaded bill with Torino Black, Shapescenes, and Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad. And, as you well know, a bit of badness is good for the soul.
Doors at 8 p.m., and you’ll want to get there early to see all of these bands. So recommended.
