It bears repeating. The Austin Music Minute recalls that from the start, The Halfways‘ frontman Daniel Fernandez didn’t want the band to focus on one genre without infusing so many of the other layers influencing their psych grooves – rock, funk, prog mixed with pop, and it continues to evolve.
Now The Halfways are ready to release their full-length debut, In the Interim, with a big release show tomorrow night at the Mohawk, 912 Red River. They’re joined by an excellent line-up of local faves: Roses, Mantra Love and Casual Strangers. Doors open at 9 p.m., and the show is on the inside stage. All the trippy vibes you could ask for. Recommended.
