Your Austin Music Minute maven is always ready with praises for live performances by local artists that really stand out. One such example would definitely be Jack Wilson, whose music translates into a wonderful live experience both sonically and emotionally.
If you haven’t seen Wilson perform yet, you’ll have several opportunities to do so at his July residency shows at the Cactus Cafe, located at 24th St. and Guadalupe in the Texas Union, on the UT campus. You can see him there tonight, and each Monday night throughout the rest of the month. Wilson’s invited a special guest to open his shows, local songwriter Darren Anthony Hoff, who’ll do some solo sets. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m. Get there early.
