Kickoff

It’s a stellar night at Barracuda, with not only one but two tour launches, lots of new music, and some genuine, badass LA brilliance combining the most unlikely genres imaginable.

Former Voxtrot front man Ramesh is ready to hit the road in support of his debut solo release – three and a half years in the making, and finally released earlier this year in collaboration with producers/engineers Jim Eno (Spoon), Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs), and Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend). A. Sinclair starts their tour tomorrow, in support of their new album, Get Out of The City. Plus, LA-based band Thee Commons is in town to unleash an extraordinary rush of psychedelic cumbia punk. And opening tonight’s show are recent Studio 1A guests The Villas, who’ve just released their new album, Long Player (the title track is featured on today’s Austin Music Minute).

See them all perform tonight at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St. The music starts just after 9 p.m. with The Villas. Recommended.
