Dirty Projectors‘ previous self-titled release blatantly wore songwriter David Longstreth’s heart on its record sleeve, brandishing the anguish of loneliness. This year, the new album Lamp Lip Prose, out July 13th, returns to what the band describes as “a recommitment” to their original ideas – signature bright indie/dance sounds and elaborate harmonies, while continuing to experiment sonically outside any boundaries.
