Left My Heart In Angers

Elsa Cross fans were able to live vicariously through recent photos she’d posted on her Facebook page chronicling her travels through France. “Look mom…I’m in France where everything is old and stuff,” she joked in one of the captions of a photo taken moments before her performance at the Exit Music record store in Angers.

This was no ordinary trip. Cross, and her fellow musicians in Project ATX6, performed in Paris and were featured artists in Angers’ “Austin Week” film, tech, food and wine festival. It was a rich and invigorating cultural exchange, allowing the talented crew to share their music with new audiences – precisely the primary goal of Project ATX 6. Surely, there were plenty of late nights, early mornings, lots of performances and networking – all part of a very important journey, bringing Austin music to the international masses. Cross admitted it was good to return home last week, but she and the others were already “missing the beautiful streets of Angers…”

There’s no doubt Cross has lots of new French fans. Make sure you catch her midnight performance tonight at The White Horse, 500 Comal. Mayeux & Broussard perform at 10 p.m., and Lloyd Tripp starts out the evening at 8 p.m.

Profiter de la nuit, apprécier la musique! So recommended.
