Like It Loud

There are no two ways about it. Dikes of Holland will straight-up pummel your eardrums and rattle your rib cage with ruthless blasts of garage punk that’s anthemic and chaotic. It basically comes at you full-force, then knocks you over before you have time to react. In other words, as it should be. This is how it’s done.

Just give a listen to their 2012 bone-cruncher, Braindead USA, and you’ll have a better understanding of how relentless and shredding their sound is. They specialize in loud. But this is the kind of chaos that leaves you wanting more. This is the fury, the non-stop fist-pumping energy, that gives them their solid live-show reputation.

If you haven’t seen Dikes of Holland yet, you’re in for a major treat. They’re about to go on tour, but not without having a party in their own town first. Catch Dikes of Holland at their tour kickoff show tonight at Hotel Vegas, 1502 E. 6th St. The bill includes The Gospel Truth, Ghetto Ghouls and Empty Markets. It’ll all come crashing through your skull. Awesome. Doors open at 9 p.m.
